Five leading sources · no numeric order

The clearest starting band.

NoDesk, We Work Remotely, Jobicy, Working Nomads and Remotive cover different search needs. Wramer keeps them equal and explains the conditions under which each becomes useful.

Clear band · Remote-native independent

NoDesk

Natural receiver:
people who want a compact remote-first ecosystem rather than a general search engine

NoDesk keeps the search environment close to the realities of distributed work. Its narrower frame helps candidates think about remote companies, not simply roles carrying a remote keyword. Inventory is naturally smaller than a mass-market engine, and availability can vary sharply by profession, seniority and hiring region.

Clear band · Established remote-only board

We Work Remotely

Natural receiver:
candidates who want a high-flow remote-only scan without mixing in office-first search results

We Work Remotely makes remote intent obvious and preserves a simple path from category browsing to the original opportunity. It is especially useful for repeated weekly scans. High visibility attracts competition, and remote labels still require country, time-zone and work-authorization checks before an application is started.

Clear band · Jobs plus career intelligence

Jobicy

Natural receiver:
international candidates combining vacancy discovery with career and compensation research

Jobicy exposes useful fields for region, seniority, job type and industry while maintaining a public API that can support a transparent, attributed discovery layer. Coverage is strongest in the Americas and Europe, and API records or board pages should always be checked against the employer-controlled application destination.

Clear band · Curated distributed-work feed

Working Nomads

Natural receiver:
people who prefer a curated, category-led remote feed with practical geographic cues

Working Nomads turns a varied remote market into a legible category system and exposes a public feed that makes current listings easier to monitor without hiding their origin. A role appearing in a remote feed is not automatically work-from-anywhere; regional, language and schedule requirements often live deeper in the description.

Clear band · Community-aware remote search

Remotive

Natural receiver:
remote candidates who want filters, current listings and remote-work context in one place

Remotive provides a recognizable remote-first lens and an attributed public API. The combination is useful for discovering roles and then checking how a remote employer communicates. Public API jobs are intentionally delayed and the visible free experience may represent only part of the platform, so freshness and access level must be understood.

Why these five stay clear.

The common feature is not scale, age or a perfect moderation guarantee. It is a strong enough remote-work signal to justify starting a focused search. Each platform reduces a different kind of friction: remote intent, category organization, company context, filtering or community knowledge.

Clear does not mean certified

No board can independently guarantee the behavior of every outside employer or the continued availability of every listing. Wramer’s clear-band label describes a useful starting source under the current editorial lens, not a safety certificate.

Different receivers need different bands

NoDesk may fit a candidate who wants a compact remote-native ecosystem. We Work Remotely may fit a repeated high-flow scan. Jobicy adds structured career and API context. Working Nomads emphasizes organized curation. Remotive combines a job search with remote-work community and learning material.

Order carries no meaning

The five names rotate through the interface and are not assigned positions, scores or medals. A candidate should choose by role, geography, access model and time budget. The best board is the one that consistently produces qualified, verifiable leads for that search.

Use one or two at a time

Starting with all five can recreate the noise Wramer is designed to reduce. Pick one close fit and one complementary source, then compare results for two weeks. Keep only the combination that improves qualified applications.
