How to read the shadow band.
A secondary label is not an accusation. The twenty sources here can produce excellent opportunities. They sit in shadow because their usefulness is more conditional under Wramer’s current lens.
Common conditions
A board may specialize in startups, technology, four-day schedules or freelance work. It may depend on a paid tier, profile review or marketplace process. It may aggregate records that require more tracing, or carry strong geographic concentration.
Moderation is not binary
Human review, automated checks and employer identity controls exist on a spectrum and can change. Even a strongly moderated board cannot guarantee every outside hiring interaction. Candidates remain responsible for verifying the employer and destination.
Promote a source with your own evidence
If a shadow-band platform repeatedly gives you credible, distinctive roles, it can become a primary source in your personal system. Wramer’s labels are starting guidance, not a command to ignore your own conversion data.
